Be careful what you wish for.

I think it's very sad that people always judge things by the looks of it. I know it's only human nature but sometimes, it is possible to see past all these. It is sad that everything is based on appearances and first impressions. Because you've gotta understand and know more than that before you draw your conclusions. And it is even sadder that people only want to see the beautiful things, the nice parts of everything. Even if they are only lies. Most think that by seeing beautiful things, they feel happier. Yes you do. For a while. Does it make you feel better? To be happy for a while and to be cheated? Or would you rather feel sad but in the end relieved and somewhat satisfied? And do you think that all nice things are actual and genuine? Or actually real to you? Don't fool yourselves into thinking everyone and everything is out to please you. Because they are not. Everyone is an actor in this world. Life is like a play. You may not see  or understand  yourself what is actually happening onstage because you are part of it but the audience can see clearly. But the audience can't do anything. They can't tell you what's real and what's not. They can't tell you what's actually going on. You're just fooling yourself, like a maze, caught up in your own drama of life. They can either cry or clap for you. And when you finally realize the truth, you either get hurt or you might end up with a happy ending, that is if you're fortunate. So I hope that, you being you, will remember me clearly one day when you finally realize that the things you used to think was so beautiful and pleasing, just suddenly wasn't anymore. And I won't be there any longer.

Everyone  in this world wears a mask.

Music and lyrics: you and me?

"A person is like a song. Some are just bubblegum pop, some you'll grow to love, and some will always have a place in your heart."

Which song am I to you?

Greenhouse effect

Heylooo my dear readers! I'm a 6-eyed creature from Venus :D

I went to Rumah Hijau a few days ago with a couple of friends. It's situated at Rubber road and was opened just a  year ago. It was my first time there.

Roti Pisang Cheese Chocolate

It actually looks pretty gross on the photo if you don't know what is it.

Then, headed over to Cup-bon for a refreshing bubble tea drink.

So here's to Jesus Christ who saved our lives.

It's been a week I didn't update... oopps sorry!

But I figured I owed my readers at least a Christmas post, sooooo...

Merry Christmas everyone :) I love you all truckloads. *hugs*

My friends and I dined at Xian Ding Wei, a newly-opened Taiwanese restaurant at the Spring, situated next to the Nose shoe shop. However, as it's newly-opened, it's super packed and it'll take some time to get an empty table. Furthermore, the service is not up to par as there are just too many customers and they have their hands full. Go try it when the hype has cooled down.

Rose Tea

Xian Shu Ji !

Shan Pei Ji or something.

It's great to meet up with my loved ones!

Spring's Christmas decorations. This year it's a colourful & gold theme!

We get so caught up in all of it.
Business and relationships.
Hundred mile an hour lives,
And it's this time of year;
And everybody's here.
It seems the last thing on your mind.

Is that the day holds something special
Something holy, not superficial
So here's to Jesus Christ who saved our lives

To follow the leading of God,
To step out in faith and obey,
Is always the path we should take
Whenever we can't see the way.

Father God, when your precious Son became a tiny baby in a stable in Bethlehem in poverty and simplicity, you changed our world. As we imagine those surroundings, we join with the shepherds and the wise men in wonder and praise. We thank you for our material lives, praise you for our spiritual lives, and trust in you for our eternal life. Amen.

I need someone who can make me laugh.

Sigh the lazy bug is catching up on me again. The holidays are nearly coming to an end, at least, for me that is. Anyways, I can't believe I'm going to say this but I'm bored. I'm really really really bored. And I'm normally fine with bored (I still am) but now I'm getting bored bored. I've gone travelling (a bit), shopping, eating, movies, meeting up with friends, reading, tidying up, catching up on tv series, blogging, tumblring, online chatting, painting my nails, almost anything there is to be done. But I still feel BORED. I don't know why but there's no excitement, enthusiasm, thrill or even anticipation for that matter. Even so, I'm not excited to go back to school, don't get me wrong. I'd rather do bored any day. So can anyone help me out?! I'm getting really agitated.

So anyways I've watched any movie there is to watch:

All three are okay. *shrugs*

Moving on, Christmas photos at the Spring. The photos are quite low quality though... not really clear because none were taken with cameras.

Christmas tree at the Spring.

It's decorated with gold stars, which all the shop owners or staffs wrote their Christmas wishes on it.

I was trying to do the "See No Evil" pose.

woo-HOO !

I came across a place like a showroom in One Jaya few days ago and it showed some interesting news about the upcoming malls in Kuching, so I got all excited and immediately googled for more information. Here's what I found:

  • ICONmall - Proposed to be one of the biggest shopping complex, hotel and apartment projects in Kuching, located at King's Centre, with over 1,200,000 square feet (110,000 m2) of gross building area. The project is currently put on hold.
  • Imperial Hotel Apartment - A proposed hotel-cum-apartment project linked to the Boulevard Shopping Complex, with up to 700 rooms.
  • Isthmus Hypermall - The mall is part of the Kuching City Extension plan, and will house a hypermarket & retail shoplots all under one roof. It is expected to be the largest shopping mall in the region upon completion.
  • Jalan Tun Jugah - Jalan Song Flyover- The fifth flyover to be built in Kuching spanning Jalan Tun Jugah - Jalan Song intersection in the direction towards the airport and vice-versa. The project aims to ease traffic congestion at the intersection and will be undertaken by Global Upline company. Costing RM75 million, the project includes widening the 2.1 km stretch of Jalan Tun Jugah between Simpang Tiga and Kenyalang interchange to three and four lane carriageways in each direction.
  • Kuching Tower - A 315-room 5-star hotel cum office complex, standing 39-storeys or 150 metres tall, will be Borneo's tallest building.
  • Mudajaya New Township - The project encompasses a new satellite township to be built on 265 acres (1.1 km2) of land. The township will be a self-contained township comprising of apartments, condominiums, shophouses, shopping complexes, offices, a private hospital, public and private schools and a college, wet and dry markets, a recreational park, town squares, sports and swimming facilities, a bus terminal, a police station, entertainment centres and hawker centres. The entire project is expected to be completed by 2015 and is expected to generate a total gross development value of more than RM1 billion.
  • Plaza Merdeka - A brand new CBD shopping mall with 350,000 sq ft (33,000 m2) of nett leasable area (built up -550,000 sq ft (51,000 m2)) plus a 290-room Boutique hotel complex (built up - 175,000 sq ft (16,300 m2)) located in the historic heart of Kuching, it is expected to be ready in mid-2010. The anchor tenant is Parkson Department Store. The Boutique hotel is known as 360 Waterfront Hotel.
  • Samariang Mall - A new 3-storey shopping mall located in Bandar Baru Samariang new township.
  • Proposed Upscale Hotel - This planning design proposal is prepared for the approved layout plan for a 12-Storey Hotel on Lot 337, Section 46, KTLD situated at Jalan Tabuan, Kuching. The usage of the building remains unchanged and the number of guest rooms is at 220 rooms.
  • Kuching Sentral - Proposed Kuching's regional transportation terminal cum shopping complex, located at Mile 6 Jalan Penrissen is expected to be completed by end of 2009. It will house a hypermarket and retail shoplots.
  • Kuching City Mall - Proposed 5 acre 2-storey shopping plaza, located in the neighbourhood of Taman Desa Wira , a stone's throw from MJC and Jalan Stephen Yong and within 10 minutes' drive from the heart of the city. It will house a hypermarket, department store and retail outlets.
  • Batu Lintang Mall - A mixed development consisting of office and shopping complexes. Rumoured to be located on government land in front of Saberkas.
  • City One Mall - Proposed 2-storey and 3-storey shopping mall at the Jalan Song-Jalan Tun Jugah intersection. It will house a supermarket, department store, cineplex and retail outlets.
  • Citadines Kuching Uplands (Opening 2012)- It has a prime location in the Jalan Simpang Tiga area.

I obtained this through wikipedia but I think they left out some information such as Summer shopping mall (yes, believe it or not Kuching is going to have 4 seasons soon) which is opening up at Samarahan and ST3, Simpang Tiga walk (imitation much?) which is well, at Simpang Tiga I assumed and finally i.Com Square which should be somewhere at waterfront town area.

Frankly speaking, I'm more thrilled about i.Com square, Summer mall, Simpang Tiga walk, Isthmus Hypermall, Kuching Tower, Plaza Merdeka, Kuching Sentral (completed at end of 2009?! I don't even know it existed) and finally CITY ONE MALL. Whoa, Kuching is getting seriously developed and I can't wait to feel shock when I come back here from the west at 2012.

Here are some videos for you to get the rough idea:

Junk.

This is just too cute! Hahaha.

Okay, so I didn't know what to update about... so I randomly took some photos...

I don't know why but I seem to love buying drinks from Ta Kiong... mostly because they have a wide variety to choose from and they're mostly imported from Taiwan or Japan. Which reminds me that lately, I have been more than crazy over Taiwan products. Due to the obvious reason, D'OH, I've been wanting to go Taiwan since forever. I always nearly had the chance to go but never make it because my holidays are like school holidays which SUCKS big time as air tickets are most expensive during such times FML MUCH. My sister is going there really soon :( However, I firmly believed I will go there someday! Or sometime soon :(

My current favourite carbonated drink: Mountain Dew! It's lemon flavoured... y'all should try it! Even my parents are influenced... they love the drink! :D

Been binging on junk food during the holidays... these are some of my favourites! Cheap and yummy.

This is bad!

I was kinda bored (or maybe, had too much free time), so I took some of my previous facebook profile photos and lomo-fied them. What do you think ?

This picture pretty much sums up what I do during the holidays. Hmmm... I need to find something else to do. Ideas please?

'Cause I needed to hear you say.

This time, This place.
Misused, Mistakes.
Too long, Too late.

That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I miss you
Been far away for far too long
I keep dreaming you'll be with me
and you'll never go.

So far away
Been far away for far too long.
So far away
Been far away for far too long.

But you know, you know, you know
I wanted
I wanted you to stay
'Cause I needed
I need to hear you say
That I love you
I have loved you all along

Hold on to me and, never let me go
Keep breathing
'Cause I'm not leaving you anymore
Believe it
Hold on to me and, never let me go.

Things change. People change.

People leave :(
